The Antwerp Hotel, pictured about 1898, at the corner of Cannon Street and Market Square. This hotel was much used by the old Dover Corporation (the old Dover Town Council) as a place where they refreshed themselves, did business, and held celebrations, including the Mayor and Corporation's Dinner to celebrate the Coronation of King George IV in 1821. The Court of Lodemanage meetings were held there at the time of the Duke of Wellington’s Wardenship.
